Section 15 of Germany’s Telemedia Law (German: Telemediengesetz) enables website visitors to prevent anonymous data about them being stored so that it will no longer be stored in the future. User profiles are created and given pseudonyms whilst at all times observing the provisions of the German Telemedia Law. IP addresses are not recorded for use and analysing browser behaviour using IP addresses does not take place under any circumstances. Visitors can prevent the creation of user profiles by going to: login.intelliad.de/optout.php. intelliAd states very clearly in its data protection provisions that user profiles with pseudonyms are created and gives users precise instructions should they wish to prevent this from occurring. These user profiles are automatically deleted if the user so requests or if storing them is no longer necessary.
“Cookies“ are small files which enable us to store specific information on your computer or mobile device about you whilst you are using intelliAd’s product offering. Cookies help us to measure things like frequency of use, the number of users in a given period as well as make our product offering as comfortable, efficient and interesting for you as possible.
There are two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies only last as long as the online session itself. They are deleted from the user’s computer as soon as the browser software is closed. Persistent cookies remain saved on the user’s computer after the browser has been closed. The cookies used on this website do not concern themselves with personal information. They simply recognise the visitor’s browser. The following cookies are used by intelliAd: – Last Click (for session timeout, lifespan: one session) – Session Cookie (for session recognition: one session) – Ever-Cookie (for recognising new or repeat customers).
You can limit the saving of cookies to certain websites or deactivate it entirely by going into your browser settings. You can also configure your settings so that you receive a notification as soon as a cookie is sent. You can delete cookies from your PC’s hard drive at any time. However, please note that the use of certain services is not possible if cookies are barred.
8. CMI Measuring Process
Our website uses the CMI Measuring Process of the Deutsche Post AG for investigating statistical data. The objective of this measuring is to determine the effect of physical advertising on subsequent internet use. Users are never identified by name and your identity is protected at all times. Your delivery or billing address is likewise assigned to a so called “microcell” of the Deutsche Post Direkt GmbH which consists on average of 6.6 houses. A code number is generated for the microcell and kept in a database. At the time a cookie with a lifespan of six months is stored on your computer. Only aggregated, statistical information is gathered and personal profiles are never created. IP addresses are encrypted in the course of normal data transfer but are not used in any further processes.
You can disable the CMI process by clicking on the following link:
You can also explicitly agree to the use of the CMI process by clicking on the following link: http://login.intelliad.de/cmi-optin.php
9. Web Tracking
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses so called „cookies“ i.e. text files which are saved on your computer and which enable your use of the website to be analysed with the purpose of evaluating its attractiveness and improving its performance and content. The information gathered about your use of the website is usually transferred to one of Google’s servers in the USA where it is stored. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google in the respective EU or EEA country will truncate the IP address before doing so. Only in exceptional cases will full IP addresses be sent to the USA and truncated after they arrive. Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of it, to generate reports about its activities and to render other services relevant to your use of the website and the internet in general. The IP address sent from your browser by Google Analytics is not merged with any other data at Google. You can disable the saving of cookies by selecting the appropriate browser settings, however, this can potentially mean that it is not possible to use the full functionality of this website. You can also disable the gathering of personal and usage data (including your IP address) through cookies and the processing of this data by downloading and installing the appropriate plugin available at this link tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout . General information about Google Analytics and data protection is available here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html . Please note that Google Analytics has been enhanced with the code “gat.anonymizeIp();” on this website in order to guarantee the anonymous gathering of IP addresses (so called “IP masking”).
This website uses the web analysis service with Bid Management from intelliAd Media GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, Germany. Anonymised data is gathered and saved on an aggregated basis, and user profiles are created from it in the form of pseudonyms, in order to ensure effective design and for optimising the website. Using intelliAd Tracking involves cookies being saved locally. The anonymised user data and profiles may be used by both the website owner as well as by other intelliAd customers in order to identify user interests. No conclusion on your identity as a website user is possible. You have the right to deactivate the saving and further use of your browsing data, both at the time you exercise this right and thereafter. Please use the [intelliAd Opt Out Function] for this purpose. http://login.intelliad.com/optout.php
10. Use of Social Plugins
Social plugins are integrated into this website using the so called „2 click solution“. These buttons are configured by default not to transfer any data to third parties. A click on one of these buttons is deemed to represent the user giving his/her permission to pass his/her data on to the respective social networking website but only to that particular social media site and for the selected service. You can configure your preferences as you wish and change them at any time by clicking on the “gear wheel” icon.
Plugins may be used on these pages from the social media platform www.facebook.com operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (hereinfater „Facebook“). If you retrieve any sites bookmarked to our internet presence using such a plugin, a connection to the Facebook servers will then be established and the plugin will be displayed on your webpage via a notification. Data about which of our websites you have visited will be transferred to the Facebook servers via this connection. If you are logged in as a Facebook member, Facebook will match this information to your personal account. By using plugin functions (e.g. clicking on “Like” buttons or writing comments), this information will likewise be linked up with your Facebook user account. Logging out of Facebook is the only way to prevent this from occurring. Further information regarding the gathering and storing of data by Facebook, your rights and the protection of your private sphere can be found in Facebook’s privacy statements.
We use the +1 button from Google+ on our website (Google Plus) from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (hereinafter: Google). The +1 button loads and displays itself each time a website with which we are affiliated and bookmarked with “+1” is loaded. Data about which of our websites you have visited will be transferred to the Google servers via this connection. Google keeps a browser log for a maximum of 2 weeks when the display of a “+1” button is detected. This is for the purposes of system maintenance and troubleshooting and no further processing of the data takes place under any circumstances. If you click the “+1” button whilst you are logged into Google Plus, Google will collect information about the URL which you have recommended, your IP address and other browser related information so that your “+1” recommendation can be saved and made publicly available. Your “+1” recommendations together with your profile name and photo can be integrated as references into search results or your Google profile (as “+1“ tab) or into specific parts of websites and internet advertisements. The web link below takes you to Google‘s privacy statement for the “+1 interface“ which gives you detailed information about the gathering, dissemination and use of data as well as your rights and the scope of your profile settings: https://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html
